The dark collection is definitely a departure from the bright sherbet shades and color-blocking we saw for Spring, but it still stays consistent with the effortlessly cool, feminine vibe that makes up the brand.

WORD about town has it that the South Australian Film Corp is pitching to get a major film starring Hollywood tween star Miley Cyrus to be filmed here.

While details are shady at this time, I hear that if the pitch is successful the film could be shot at the end of the year or in early 2013.

Miley famously visited Adelaide on her world tour last year when she met fans at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The last time she was here, Miley also reportedly spent a lengthy visit at a solarium to top up her tan.

Have you ever wondered what life’s like as a Cyrus? We were invited to tour Trace Cyrus‘ home music studio recently, where the 22-year-old opened up to us about his new project, Ashland High, growing up with Billy Ray Cyrus and little sister Miley Cyrus and moving in with his fiancée, Brenda Song.

Dad and sister Miley are too supportive to tell Trace if a song is bad or good.

“Miley, she’s always pretty into my stuff,” he said. “At the end of the day, I have to tell myself, if I love the song, it doesn’t matter who in my family, Miley, my dad, anyone, I feel like if it represents me, then I have to go with it.”

Trace told us that when he and Brenda were looking for a home, he wanted one that had a room for him to focus on his music, “I was tired of getting on my girlfriend’s nerves,” he said.

The studio also serves as a storage room for all the equipment he had gathered while playing with his old band, Metro Station. Although the group has disbanded, Trace admits it was the best thing to get him started in the music business, and says they might tour together again one day.

Treating herself to a relaxing midday meal, Miley Cyrus was spotted joining up with friend Jen in Studio City, California on Thursday (February 16). The former “Hannah Montana” hottie wore a colorful orange blazer with a black top and stonewashed jeans as she and her mates took to a local eatery for a bite to eat for lunch.
The outing comes a day after Miss Cyrus treated the audience at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to her own rendition of the Bob Dylan classic “You’re Going to Make Me Lonesome When You Go.” Joined by her guitarist Johnzo West, Cyrus donned a midriff-baring top and high-waisted jeans, completing the 1960s motif. Celebuzz editor Taryn Ryder was on the scene Wednesday last night at the Sony PlayStation Launch for the PS Vita in Hollywood, where we caught up with none other than Gale Hawthorne himself, Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth.

The 22-year-old actor, who currently graces the March 2012 cover of Details, gave us the scoop on the highly anticipated movie, out March 23. He also revealed that he was able to convert Miley Cyrus into a fan of the book-turned-movie series.

“She got into it after I got the part,” he admitted about his girlfriend, 19. “She has read the first one and liked it. I’m excited for her to see it.”

Liam, who said his favorite Hunger Games book is Mockingjay (“The good people get to fight back!”), also revealed which scenes he’s dying for fans to see.

“I’m looking forward to [them] seeing the actual games,” he disclosed. “I haven’t seen any of that! I think that will be great.”

As for whether or not he did his own stunts, he said, “A little bit. This one was more about losing weight and looking hungry. But hopefully in the third one yeah, I’m looking forward to getting in on the action.”

The entertainment industry was shocked with the news of Whitney Houston’s death, and from Tweets to official statements, they’ve all been expressing their mourning.

Hollyscoop caught up with Billy Ray Cyrus at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards show, and he told us how his daughter, Miley Cyrus is reacting to Houston’s passing:

“She’s so sad about the loss of Whitney Houston,” Billy Ray told Hollyscoop. “She was also very close with Etta James. Etta was a great influence to Miley. A lot of memories of me and Miley driving back and forth to the set of Hannah Montana with Etta James just roaring in the CD player.”

Billy Ray adds that Miley eventually became personal friends with Etta James.

“Miley and Etta struck up a friendship,” he told us. “You know, Etta was a great influence on all of us.”

Music has truly lost quite a few legends this year, including the late Amy Winehouse. When Tony Bennett won a Grammy for the album ‘Duets II,’ he brought Amy’s parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse, onstage to accept the award.

Liam is standing by the first tee recounting what he said to his brother Chris after he got his first break in Hollywood, The Last Song, a weeper about a piano prodigy with Daddy issues who cozies up to a beach-volleyball stud. The moment Liam left the audition room, in 2009, he rushed to meet up with Chris just to laugh about coming face-to-face with the Disney starlet they’d watched on TV—who’d go on to be his onscreen love interest and his offscreen girlfriend—and the absurdity of it all. “We grew up surfing and stuff,” Liam says of his family as he reaches for a pitching wedge. “That’s why we can laugh. This business is ridiculous.”

Then came the audition for The Last Song that he found so laughable. He got the job. And the girl. When Liam and Miley hooked up on the set, he was 19, she was 16—a fact he doesn’t shy away from. “What happened happened, and we’ve been together two and a half years,” he says. “She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you’re filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you’re not human if you don’t feel something.”

When the film wrapped, he went home with her to Nashville, where he was introduced to the joys of Cracker Barrel and Miley’s dad, Billy Ray. “He’s very spiritual,” Liam says of Mr. “Achy Breaky Heart.” “He’s just one of the nicest guys. Very accommodating. I’ve listened to his music since we got together. It’s awesome.”
